Sarita---The clown of our herd.  Sarita is a mare that wants to be center of attention.  She is a spoiled
brat but is all business when under saddle.  She thrives on regiment and loves to work.  She is one
that bores easily.  Sarita is a tall mare, especially for a Kiger.  She has a lovely reaching trot that is
ground covering.

Sarita is registered in the
Kiger Horse Association & Registry in the Traditional category as 100% Kiger.

Sarita has been left open for 2008.

Sarita's dam, Cheyenne, was one of our favorite mares.  Cheyenne was captured as a youngster in
Kiger HMA than released into Riddle HMA.  She was re-captured when she was 10 and adopted out.
Somewhere along the way, she was severely injured.  We were her third owners and we decided that
she would live out her days here.  We purchased her when she was in foal with Sarita.  She produced
one additional foal, Navajo, while she was with us.  We finally let her go to the 'green pasture' above
in 2007 when her arthritis from her previous injuries were unmanageable.  Cheyenne was 24 years old.
