The above fantastic photographs are by Mary Cornelius!  She does an incredible job at
capturing the heart and soul of any horse.  I highly recommend her for YOUR
professional photographs.
I'd like to THANK Mary for capturing the essence of Dunsmuir
!
Dunsmuir is a 2001 Dun Stallion that was captured in Kiger HMA in 2003.
He was one of the stallions available on the Internet Adoption.  I was
drawn to his magnificent movement and knew that he would compliment
our breeding program.  We were looking for a stallion that would blend
well with Cherokee without loosing the Iberian type and incredible
movement.

Dunsmuir's first foals arrived in 2007.  They are better than we expected.
Great presence and lovely movement.  In another year or two we will
cross Dunsmuir onto our Cherokee line to further develop our depth of
pedigree in our breeding program.

Dunsmuir is heterozygous for dun, carries the red gene and possibly
carries the sooty gene.  His dun babies have great striping, correct
conformation and wonderful temperaments.

Dunsmuir was started under saddle in 2006 and was a very quick learner.
He never offered to buck or balk.  He is a complete gentleman and can
be ridden with mares in heat with no complications.  Dunsmuir will be
shown in 2008.

We are expecting several foals from Dunsmuir in 2008.
Standing at Stud

Currently, we offer breedings here at the ranch.  We are exploring having
Dunsmuir collected for both fresh semen and frozen semen for the 2008
spring breeding season.  His 2008 book is limited due to showing
engagements, so please book early.  His 2008 fee is $500 LFG.  Mare care
is extra.  Fresh/frozen semen will have an additional collection fee
involved, please email/call for details.

In winter of 2008, we will be in final planning stages of having Dunsmuir
collected for oversees AI breedings with EU compliance.  This will mean
that Dunsmuir will be available to those in Australia/New Zealand, Russia,
South Africa, and Europe for crossing for Kiger partbloods in those
regions.  For those that have imported Kigers to their country, new blood
will now be available.

If you are interested in being part of this endeavor, please
contact us
ASAP.  The EU compliance requires expensive quarantine and costly tests
in excess of $5000.00.  If sufficient number of people are interested in
participating, then EU collection expenses will be reduced to a nominal
fee per semen dose making the overall breeding fee acceptable to
everyone involved.
